Though many love Fridayz, some visitors mention the potential wait times due to the cooking process. Freshly preparing meals sometimes means a few extra minutes, which can be inconvenient during a lunch rush. Additionally, during weekends, the crowd may lead to a bustling atmosphere that some might find overwhelming. A limited selection of side dishes separates the restaurant from those offering a broader array, potentially leaving diners wanting more options. Lastly, while kids love the food, some note that additional child-friendly options could enhance the experience for families.
The BEST fish and chips in the local area by some considerable margin. All fish cooked to order so a little wait will be necessary but very much worth it. The fish is not heavily battered and therefore light and crispy, the chips are double cooked in rapeseed oil from UK farms and the probably the best I've ever had from a chippy. The benfits of using this oil are twofold, it's low in saturated fats and it contains omegas 3, 6 and 9, which reduce cholesterol and help to maintain healthy joint, brain and heart functions. The staff are very friendly and there is a seating area and table service should you wish to dine in. If your in Walton, you would be foolish not to pop in and give it a try.
Best fish & chips in town all my family loves going to this place the chips are not too greasy it;s fried to a perfection , we love the cod and haddock as well as the fried calamari portion. daughter loves the chicken nuggets and chips. Most of the time we do takeway however we have eaten there few times and the atmosphere is nice , quick service and friendly staff.
Portions are very generous and the fish is fresh. Love the fact that the oil they use is also fresh.
The best and the freshest fish and chips I had in a very very long time. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to check when you ask them about the fish. There tends to be a queues of people in the weekends - clear indication of the popularity of this place. I always believe that consumers show whether they like a place or not with their customs. The haddock I had was massive and deliciously tender with crispy batter. Chips were plentiful and definitely left for some for the next day. They also gave me a complimentary curry sauce. All in all, I loved this place and highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be back.
Always nice fresh food and friendly staff.
This was our second order from this fish bar and it was every bit as good as our first time. The food arrived quickly and was fresh and hot. One portion of cod and chips was ample for at least two hungry people, and was of the best quality. The reason I want to write a review is to urge people to support this excellent establishment in these difficult times, when so many businesses are struggling. It would be a terrible shame to lose this one, so let's make sure it doesn't happen, or we'll lose the best fish and chips in the area.
Stopped of for some chips, and decided to eat in there restaurant. Really good food. So since I last eat there,I decided to get a delivery. Cold chips, tasted like yesterday's. Good portion of fish, but not very crispy. 1 cod, 1 scampi large chips. Not worth £39.00 never again.
